Here’s what you can before and after a workout:
✅Wear minimal makeup (avoid it altogether, if you can)
- Sweating enlarges your pores, makeup particles can enter the pores and possibly clog them causing breakouts and uneven skin texture.
- Your skin becomes the perfect breeding ground for bacteria and the makeup clings on to these bacteria causing acne and irritation.
✅Exfoliate religiously
- Dead skin cells may clog your pores when you sweat, therefore, exfoliate weekly with a gentle scrub to prevent drying and dullness.
✅Take a cold shower
- Jumping into a hot shower or sauna right after a workout will dry your skin and possibly increase the visibility of pores and wrinkles.

Thank you so much for these tips! Exfoliating is super important for the skin. I also didn’t know that hot showers are bad for the skin. I’ll keep that in mind!
